1St August: We pray for all those on holiday; for refreshment and rest.

2nd August: We pray for all those answering the call to ministry.

3rd August:  We pray for all the various organisations which use Tower House.

4th August: On this, the anniversary of the outbreak of World War One, we pray for all those who strive for peace and reconciliation.

5th August: We continue to pray for areas of conflict around the world.

6th August: We pray for Charles and Susan as Charles prepares to retire.

7th August: We remember those who keep our town a safe place in which to live and work.

8th August: We pray for children’s holiday clubs, those who attend and those who lead.

9th August: We pray for our Archbishops and Bishops Martin and Mike.

10th August: We pray at this holiday time for coastguards and their work to keep our beautiful Suffolk coast safe.

11th August: We pray for the Tom Mumford and he prepares to become Vicar of this parish.

12th August: We pray for our churchwardens and PCC members.

13th August: We pray for all those involved in public life and service, remembering particularly the Prime Minister, cabinet and members of HM Government.

14th August: We pray for those who work in our hospitals and Health Service as they struggle with ever greater demands in addition to dealing with the effects of the COVID  19 pandemic.

15th August: We remember the Virgin Mary on this day

16th August: We pray for those youngsters who will receive GCSE and A level exam results in the coming days. We remember those whose results are less than expected and whose plans may have to change.

17th August: We pray for all those in Ipswich who are homeless and for those who seek to help.

18th August: We pray for those known to us who are sick, troubled or anxious.

19th August: We pray for all those who serve in the armed forces of The Crown.

20th August: We pray for all those for whom family life is difficult.

21st August: We pray for those who live in solitary situations and have nobody with whom to share life’s joys and sorrows.

22nd August: We pray for all those who have recently died, for those who are grieving and those who conduct funerals.

23rd August: We pray for those who are about to be married in the near future.

24th August: We pray for the mentally ill and those who offer care and support.

25th August: We pray for those in the numerous counselling services in our town.

26th August: We celebrate the birth of Wilson Carlisle founder of The Church Army.

27th August: We pray or all those involved in mission overseas, especially in counties where it is dangerous to be a Christian.

28th August: We pray for our immigrant population and that there may be reconciliation between all religions.

29th August: We pray for The Samaritans and the continuation of the good work they do.

30th August: Celebrate the birth of John Bunyan writer of Hymns and Christian books.

31st August:  We pray for a good future Harvest and give thanks for the wonder of creation.
